So now I want to play BlazBlue... I'll figure out some solution for this. I think I'll have to end up getting a PS3 sometime, so I've decided that I'll get the PS3 version of Sengoku Basara 3 when it comes out. I know I'm a lot stingier than a lot of people and a lot more conservative with my money than a lot of people, but it still feels bad to think about spending so much of it. (Case in point.)

Today I decided to read some. So, starting in the early afternoon, with a book I was less than halfway through, I read it the rest of the way through, with about two brief breaks... It's nice that I can have time to read like this. ^_^ Also nice to have something to read. When it comes to actual books, I feel like I'm kind of lacking in reading material. Not that I need recommendations. It just feels like my access to fiction books is limited while I'm at school.

So after learning that YesAsia restocked the first press edition of Boku no Miteiru Fukei, I caved and bought it. Lol, I pretty much expected to buy it eventually anyway, so might as well get that first press edition. And now I wait... Speaking of waiting, only about 2 more days until I get to watch 5x10. <3 Of course, by "watch 5x10" I mean go home to where I had the dvds shipped to, although honestly I might end up being so tired that it'll be Saturday morning before I actually watch it, lol.

Also, going home means that I will finally be over with this summer language program. It wasn't bad or anything, just really mentally taxing, so I'm happy that it's almost over. Tomorrow we have our final, but after finishing a project last night and presenting today with a headache, the final seems like no big deal. I know how tests in this class go by now. I pretty much just need to review kanji, and I'll be fine. ^_^

Oh, and I did watch Sengoku Basara Ni this week. Not a lot to say. It seemed like about half of the episode was philosophizing, and the other half was plot development. Not bad, just nothing particularly worth fangirling a bunch over, imo. Although I do kinda wish I had some way of making a "What is a man?" parody based off of the first half of this episode. It felt kind of like that sort of conversation, only without the bad voice-acting. ~~Although if we wait for the dub of this, who knows?~~ JK Oh, and since I didn't mention this for the last episode, I kind of ship Yukimura/Oyamada.

Just watched the second episode of Sengoku Basara Season 2, and it's still going strong! ( Cut for spoilers/for me fangirling over SenBasa )

I'm really loving the ending, too. I was enjoying the song so much that I found the pv for the song. It's pretty unexciting as far as music videos go, but it does contain the full song and show you the people behind it! (Spoilers. It's a viskei group.)

Just now, I watched the first episode of Sengoku Basara Two. Less than a minute in, I was totally engrossed. They pretty much put everything wonderful about Sengoku Basara into this episode. The music was spot on and enhanced the overall experience, the animation was beautiful, and the manliness was set to the max. I could tell that they were pulling out all the stops. (And for good reasons.) The only thing that disappointed me was that it seemed to me slightly less ho-yay filled than the previous season. Who knows, maybe they're trying to be more subtle this season. (HA, like subtle is in Sengoku Basara's vocabulary.) I know that part of why it was so awesome is because it was the first episode, but I still really hope they can keep this great momentum going throughout the season.

Over the weekend, I watched the first episode of Shiki, and it seems to be going well so far. Considering the source material, the developers would have to seriously mess up for me to dislike it. I'll see as the story gets a chance to move on to the characters who aren't annoying. Although she might have actually been more annoying in the manga, I don't remember well.

My mom let me know that the Arashi Anniversary 5x10 Tour DVDs arrived today. <3 Lol, it's kinda weird, I asked her to email me, but she posted on my wall on FB instead. Whatever, she let me know. And in slightly less than 4 weeks, I will actually be able to watch them.

Speaking of which, I am over halfway done with this language program I'm doing. Still a long way to go, and we're starting to learn keigo. Learning verb forms isn't really a scary thing for me, but I'm mostly afraid of messing up when to use what form. T_T I may never understand how textbook writers decide what order to teach things in. If keigo's so important, why is it that it takes so long for us to get to learning it? And I'm still upset about not knowing Japanese grammatical terms. I don't even know how to speak properly about what I'm learning!

I promise that if any of you can provide reliable access to either a Wii or a PS3, I will buy the US release of Sengoku Basara 3, and we can play through it over the year.

Although I will, of course be consulting others living in Japan floor (One of you must have one of these systems, surely!), I just wanted to cement this promise in writing. It's supposed to be released this fall. (Vague, I know, but that's as much as Capcom will tell us. I don't even see an official site for the US release, only a handful of teaser videos!)

Please please please, someone, help me to realize my dream of playing one of these games! Just look at it:

In related news, slowly but surely torrenting subs of episode 13 of the anime. So very slowly.

So yesterday I was reading TVTropes and came across Sengoku Basara. Sengoku period + hot-bloodedness + periphery demographic appeal for the ladies = I watched the entire anime series. I really enjoyed all of it. I don't even know what to say, where to begin. I'll definitely have to watch it again. Even though I don't usually play action games it made me want to check out the video games themselves, although there are (currently!) geographical and language barriers to that.
