I have a theory now for why people tell me things.
I think it's because I don't talk much. That may sound really simple, but I think that maybe, because I tend to not say much in conversations and wait for the other person to talk (often because I have no idea what to say), other people try to fill the silence and end up telling me all sorts of things it seems that they wouldn't normally tell me otherwise.
So somehow, not saying things to people (which seems like it should lead to not getting close to people) somehow leads to people being comfortable saying all sorts of things to me. IDK, I'm still kinda confused.
Anyway, on a tangentially related note, it's a fantastic thing when someone gives you great advice for something that's been bothering you without even that person knowing about the thing bothering you. ^_^
