I have my computer's power cord again! Ferdinand can get his much-needed energy. Those two days when I only used computer labs... I did my homework so quickly, lol.

I've been hearing about the events in Japan quite a bit, and there's really just so much happening that I don't even know what to say. To compile all of my thoughts on the matter would just be so much longer than what I want to write right now. Either way, Japan Club at my school is working together with some international and exchange students from Japan to raise some money to donate to the relief efforts. ^^ It feels good to be able to help, even a little.

Lately, in my dialogues class, we've been reading some of Cicero's philosophy, and what I've learned from reading them (and other classical texts in this class) is that our ideas about government, politics, religion, and the origin of the universe have not changed in any significant ways in the past two millennia. Yay classics! After all, as the Greeks say, everything we think, someone else has already thought of it before us.

Our professor for that class was kinda silly yesterday, and drew a picture of the class driving off the topic cliff in a van onto spikes of irrelevance which will kill us all. He's also the professor for the Greek class I'm taking and he was silly today too (he drew the picture again, and I'm not the only one in both of those classes.) He also made a couple of jokes of Greek being like a drug and how he's addicted to it.

'Kay, that's all for today. I'll probably post tomorrow about CDs I finally got in the mail. (They probably arrived over spring break, which means I didn't get them until Monday.)
