ぜんぶ憶えてたいよ よろこびも痛みも

So I was lying in bed and not falling asleep, which clearly means it is time to write rambling lj posts.
First off: question answering.
From
gensou_alice: What is your favorite breakfast food?
I thought about it, and it's probably sausage, but not sausage links. I tend to eat cereal when I am at home, but I like more protein-filled stuff sometimes.
I only got that one question, so if you still have any or thought of any, go ahead and ask here.
So I did not even notice that beginaasu meant beginners until I saw English-speaking fandom talking about it, maybe because I had only seen it in katakana before and only half registered the name at all when reading that Fujigaya and Kitayama would be doing a drama this summer. Also, I did not realize that A.N.Jell sounded like "angel" until I started watching Ikemen desu ne today. (Yes, I am only starting to watch it today.) Ah katakana, so often do I only understand you until after I have tried saying you out loud or heard you multiple times. The number of times a student in a Japanese class has only realized what a katakana word was after getting like halfway through saying it.
I started watching Shokura the second semester I was in Japan because Kisumai would appear sometimes, but since I ended up really liking it, I dled a bunch of episodes and have been watching them. It's really fun.
So I wrote a really brief fanfiction while I was in Japanwhen I should have been writing a paper for class lolololol, and I want to edit it and post it on here. When I think about it, it's been over two years since I posted fanfiction here. Don't bother looking through my tags; it's not that interesting and also obscure. But then I read it and start thinking about how my sentence structure is weird and how my wording sounds weird in my head. Ah, well, that's just part of writing it seems like, so it's probably not something I should worry about.
Anyway, I've mentioned it to someone now, so although I may stall, really I want to post it.

Date: 2012-06-17 07:18 am (UTC)Ah! I hate that! (re: katakana). My Japanese teacher (who just came from Japan last year) said "something something ディズニーランド" and I was like "..what?" and he looked at me like I was crazy and showed me a picture of Mickey Mouse OTL
"Don't bother looking through my tags". Ahaha, I was seriously JUST glancing over at your tags before I read this xD
You should post it! :)

Date: 2012-06-17 02:30 pm (UTC)It's really bad when something written in katakana sounds like an English word but isn't. Then I'm really confused.
You could always look through them, but there's probably nothing interesting.

Date: 2012-06-17 07:29 am (UTC)I'm going to have to watch Ikemen desu ne again. I kind of don't want to, mostly because I don't even like romantic dramas heh, but lately I've just had this feeling, that I want to watch it again. Idk. lol

Date: 2012-06-17 02:33 pm (UTC)Every so often I just want to see a story about a man and a woman that has no romance at all in it, and they can just be super best friends or something. Too often does an otherwise good story get dragged down by poorly written romance.

Date: 2012-06-17 04:52 pm (UTC)Ikemen desu ne isn't bad, there's a lot of fun moments (those moments and Hikaru's hair is what makes me want to watch it again), and a lot of (my) heart()breaking. Kind of sure I will watch it again this summer though, at some point. It's not like I've got lots of plans anyway haha. Might as well. Plus Takimoto is so cute haha |:

Date: 2012-06-17 11:01 am (UTC)I have the same problem, I have to read a word a lot of times to understand. And after I do I still wonder why it sounds like that in katakana. orz
Shokura is a great show, I've been watching it for years now. Aw all the juniors!<3
You should post your fanfic!
