違う色した7つの光が 重なりあの空に虹をかけるよ

I got Johnny's WEST's first album the week it came out and all and wanted to make a post about it but kept not making the post. But I still really want to post about the album because it's great. So this is a go WEST Yo-i Don! post.
First pictures:
(sorry for the glare on half these pictures orz)

Limited edition and regular edition.

Both clearfiles. I kept thinking they looked sort of like hosts in those outfits. xD

The back is the same on both clearfiles.
Second song by song impressions (only covering songs first released on this album):
It's so so cute that they hid all the members' names in Summer Dreamer. I only heard a couple of their names on my first listen. Then the second listen I heard more and noticed that it was a thing they had to be doing on purpose, so then I read the lyrics really closely to find them all. It's a little sad that all the other members had their full family or given name but Shige only had "Shige" in there. ^^; But I guess "Shigeoka" would be a little hard to shoehorn in. xD Maybe "Daiki" would work better? Does anyone even call Shige by his given name? xD
I love how Konamon is such a silly song and that it just gets sillier the further they get into the song. xD
Wake up! is a song that's very idol-y, but in a way that feels like it doesn't fit with the type of idols Johnny's WEST are. ^^; But I think that might be because it's a song from Naniwa Zamurai and that it was probably serving a particular purpose for that? I don't know. I'm still hoping they'll release a DVD for Naniwa Zamurai, but the longer they go without releasing it...
Whenever I listen to LET'S GO WEST ~KANSAI!!~ I want to do the choreography along with the song... but I don't have the choreography memorized at all. orz
P&P didn't leave a strong impression on me when I saw the ShoKura performance, but it's such a bright and happy song that I've come to like it. ^^
I like how Break Out! kind of has different sections with different members singing together, like how it starts with Kotaki and Shige and then goes to Akito and Junta and then to Kami-chan, Hama-chan, and Ryuusei. I really love where Akito and Junta pretty much have duet parts though. ♥ BAD fan forever. xD
Criminal is definitely my favorite Johnny's WEST song! I've noticed a lot with Johnny's groups, that my favorite songs are often songs that are a little different from their typical sound/image. >< Like if they're always doing idol-y or cutesy songs I want to hear cool or rock-y songs or if they're always doing "cool" or serious songs I want to hear more idol-y stuff from them. xD
Chau nen!! is another really fun song. It's cute how they have a bunch of common encouraging phrases and stuff and then they're just like "Nope". It kind of seems like it'd be rough to translate just to find a good way to translate "chau" though. But I kind of want to translate it.
I love the intro of Banban!! and how it's such a contrast from the rest of the song, but it still builds up really well into it. ^^
There's parts of Olé Olé Carnival! that are kind of like an introduction to Johnny's WEST, and I like that. ♥
Last the DVD:
They were the same way in the making video of Ee Ja Nai ka, but I love how much it shows how new and exciting all of this is to them. ♥ And again I constantly get the sense that they're all really close and really comfortable around each other. Ah~ this is why I love making/behind-the-scenes stuff. ♥
Somehow I thought Hama-chan was the cutest throughout. xD Things like not knowing what to do in recording or messing up the title of his favorite song. ^^ Hama-chan's great... and recently it feels like his movements are twice as big as everyone else's when they're performing, so I just end up noticing him and watching him a lot. Akito's still my favorite, though, but Johnny's WEST is very much a group where I like all the members for one thing or another (which is what I like in my groups!).
It's so funny that they only found out what they debut song would be part-way through the shoot for the jacket covers. ^^; But after they found out what the song would be, I don't know if he was joking or serious, but Shige said something like that he thought the debut song would be Konamon and I started thinking about what a Konamon music video wold be like. xD I'm pretty sure it would have be amazing.
The Banzai Yume Mansai video is really pretty and really cool although it was a little hard to follow the vague story they sort of had in the video. ^^ They're really putting a lot of work and effort (and probably money) into Johnny's WEST's music videos so far. It's only the first two videos, still, but they're both really good.
I don't know about them including a dance video for Ee Ja Nai ka, but I guess it'll be useful for anyone who wants to learn the whole dance?although they're not dancing for some parts whatever
